We can say that Spinners are the masters of deception in cricket. They are important for whichever team they play. While fast bowling depends on strength and speed, spinners have to be more technical and clever in strategy. Since its creation, Spin-bowling has been grown as art. There are many techniques a spinner can follow. There are four categories- Off-spin, leg-break, orthodox left-arm, and unorthodox left-arm. 1.  Muttiah Muralitharan

He is the greatest spinner of all time, who was truly a vision to view. His success had been incredible, not only in Asia’s spin-friendly pitches but also on foreign soil. Surprisingly, most of his wickets came in pitches, which were considered a cemetery for spinners. 

He took the wickets of India, Sri Lanka, England, and Australia.

He finished his international career with a record of 1,334 wickets, which was never broken. Whenever we talk about best spin-bowling then Muttiah Muralitharan will always be on mouth. 

2.  Shane Warne 

Shane Warne is a legend who is known as the best leg Spinner in the World. There is a monster in his art, He gave some of its greatest interpreting moments. ‘The ball of the century is just one such example of such moments.

His leg-spin and flipper were especially lethal, and in his international career, he ended up taking more than 1000 wickets.

He will be remembered for his ability to perform in big matches. The best example will be the 1999 World Cup semi-final.

Because of such amazing records, he will be remembered as the best leg Spinner in the World, he has 708 wickets in 705 tests and 293 ODI wickets in 194 matches.

3.  Anil Kumble

He is India’s best spinner, With 619 wickets in the test and 337 wickets in ODI, He stands above all Indian bowlers. 

He used his height cleverly to cause extra bounce from the wicket. His skills and intelligence made him a lethal danger to his opponents.

In a match against Pakistan, He made Jim Laker’s record of ten wickets in an innings. In 2015, he was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.

In his career, he had 956 wickets in total and is counted among the best spinners of all time.

4.  Ravichandran Ashwin 

He is one of the best spinners in the world today, He has taken 427 test wickets in only 81 matches. 

Previously, the player was bullied for a long time but as time passed, the off-spinner matured, and now he can take wickets at any pitch.

From using too many discrepancies to now bowling with great direction, he has come a long way in his career. His performance in Australia proved the spinner’s proficiency in his art.

In his international career, he had 638 wickets, Ashwin is one of the best spinners of all time.

5.  Saqlain Mushtaq

He might not have taken as many wickets as the others, but he truly changed the entire game with his game.

He is famous for the creation of the popular ‘Doosra’.

At the time of his advent, the era of off-spinners was at its lowest, and leg-spin was at its rise.  But then, he transformed off-spin bowling with the start of his ‘doosra’ and made off-spin popular again.

He has 496 international wickets, out of which 208 were in ODI and 288 in tests.
