On Friday, the former skipper Kapil Dev welcomed new National Team Mentor for the T20 World Cup, MS Dhoni. He referred to him as a “Special Case” as he returned to the team just after the year of retirement.
In one of the events, Kapil Dev said that commonly retired cricketers take three or four years to come back to the national setup.
In exact words he mentioned, “This is a good decision. I have always been of the opinion that once a cricketer retires, he should come back to the setup only after three-four years, but this seems to be a special case of the upcoming World Cup. Ravi (Shastri) is also down with COVID, so it looks like a special case.”
On Wednesday, When the T20 World Cup Squad was announced, the BCCI unexpectedly announced MS Dhoni’s return to the team as a National Team Mentor.
Dhoni is always considered as the best Indian captain, In the field he always looks like a lion. And returning so early after the retirement, it shows the true love for India and the team.
The former team captain announced his retirement on 74th Independence day i.e, 15th August 2020. The fans were confused whether they celebrate 74th freedom day or grief about the retirement of Dhoni’s.
MS Dhoni married his love Sakshi Dhoni in 2010. On February 6 2015, MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni got blessed with little angel Ziva Dhoni, She is now a 5 years old girl. Also, there are rumors that they are expecting their second child in the upcoming year 2022.
