Player Andre Russell muscled 7 sixes with his unbeaten 31-balls. He made a total of 70 runs that fuelled the KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) to achieve a win by amazing performance. The mesmerizing batting of Andre Russell and with attacking bowling performance by Umesh Yadav made KKR win the 8th match of IPL 2022. Both the players shake the Punjab Kings by six wickets with 33 balls remaining in Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. However, at a moment, it seems that Rahul Chahar threatened to take the game away from the hands of KKR with his impressive bowling performance, but when Andre Russel starts slashing and hitting balls away to the boundary, made the path cleared towards the winning of KKR. 

In the first inning of the game, one of the best bowlers from KKR “Umesh Yadav” performed very well as KKR stopped PBKS at 137 runs 

Umesh Yadav was persisted about his dream run with a four-wicket haul before the audience saw Andre Russell with his attacking batting performance that fired the Kolkata Knight Riders to win over Punjab Kings on Friday night easily with six wickets. It was a straightforward match but Rahul Chahar raised Punjab’s hopes with a double-wicket maiden at 51 for four.

Umesh (4/23), came as a ray of hope for KKR onto the season of 2022, despite being unsold at the auction, produced career-best T20 figures to help KKR dismiss Punjab for a below-par 137 in 18.2 overs.

After Pursuing the target of 138, KKR lost Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer early and even as Shreyas Iyer tried to create a stand with Sam Billings, he and Nitish Rana became two victims of Rahul Chahar’s one over but the match suddenly goes up. Once Russell was started batting, there was no man to stop his bat as he scored 70 runs off just 31 balls. Sam Billings made 24 runs and made the team win in just 14.3 overs.
