The FIFA World Cup is the most famous association football tournament in the world. In this tournament, the best nations across the world compete with each other. 

Till now, only eight teams have come out champions in 21 previous editions of the FIFA World Cup, with six of them doing so multiple times.

France (two-time winners) – 34 matches won

Italy (four-time winners) – 45 matches won

Italy has won FIFA at least four times. They have missed only three previous editions of the World Cup, the last time they came to the competition was in 2018. 

The three-time winners have an impressive record at the World Cup. Italy has in the 2006 edition after that they lost in 2010 but four years later they won in 2014.

Germany (four-time winners) – 67 matches won

Brazil is another most successful team in FIFA World Cup history. It is the only team to feature in all previous 21 editions of the competition. They are the earliest teams to book their place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. 

Brazil has also featured in over 100 games at the FIFA World Cup. Except in 1934, 

Selecao never went winless from the competition. Brazil is the only nation to score over 200 and admit over 100 goals in the competition.
